My name is Melissa J. Pérez and I currently sit as the Chair of Finance for the Latinx Coalition.

I am the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants who was born and raised in Houston, Texas.

I am majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, with a minor in Survey Research and Data Analytics.

I joined the LC because I wanted to serve my community by advocating for our programs through university funding.

Outside of the LC, I am involved with MEChA, QuestBridge, and the First Generation/Low Income (FGLI) community at Penn.

My hobbies include running, eating, and hanging out with my friends.
